NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE
The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) proposes to reissue, with change, the Nebraska Pretreatment Program (NPP) permit to Aurora Cooperative Ethanol Aurora West, LLC, 2103 Harvest Drive, Aurora, NE (NPP# NE0138029; SIC 2869), a corn dry milling ethanol plant that produces fuel grade ethanol. The plant also produces wet distillers grains, dry distillers grains, and corn oil as co-products. Process and non-process wastewater discharge from Outfall 001 to Lincoln Creek, Segment BB4-20900 in the Big Blue River Basin via the City of Aurora publicly owned treatment works. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet, and other public information are available for review and copying at NDEE’s Lincoln Office, 245 Fallbrook Boulevard, Lincoln, Nebraska 68521 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (CT), weekdays, excluding holidays. A determination to hold a hearing will be based upon factual environmental or regulatory consideration.
