NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE
The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) proposes to reissue, with change, the Nebraska Pretreatment Program (NPP) permit to Eilers Machine and Welding, 600 East Commerce Road, Lexington, NE (NPP# NE0138690; SIC 3499). The facility fabricates steel and aluminum components used on U.S. Military ground support vehicles. Metal finishing process wastewater discharges through Outfall 001 and Outfall 002 to the Platte River, Segment MP2-20000 in the Middle Platte River Basin and to an undesignated tributary of Spring Creek, Segment MP2-20300 in the Middle Platte River Basin, via the City of Lexington Publicly Owned Treatment Works. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet, and other public information are available for review and copying at NDEE’s Lincoln Office, 245 Fallbrook Boulevard, Lincoln, Nebraska 68521 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (CT), weekdays, excluding holidays. A determination to hold a hearing will be based upon factual environmental or regulatory consideration.
