NOTICE OF INTENT TO RENEW PERMIT #NE0203807
for Recycling and Trash Center of Wayne, Nebraska
under consideration by the
Nebraska Department of Environment & Energy
PUBLIC NOTICE is given in accordance with Title 132 - Integrated Solid Waste Management Regulations, Chapter 2, §011, that the Nebraska Department of Environment & Energy (NDEE) has received an application to renew the permit of the Recycling and Trash Center of Wayne, Nebraska located at 110 Windom Street. After review of the permit application, a preliminary determination has been made to recommend renewal of the permit. The term of the permit shall be from February 16, 2023, thru February 15, 2033.
FACILITY DESCRIPTION. The permit allows the operation of an existing transfer station under Nebraska's solid waste management laws and regulations. The facility operates as a Solid Waste Transfer Station and provides recycling opportunities to the community.
FACILITY LOCATION. The property is located at 110 Windom Street, Wayne Nebraska 68787. The legal description of the Recycling and Trash Center of Wayne, Nebraska site is generally described as the NE1/4 of the SW1/4 of the NW1/4, Section 18, Township 26N, Range 4 East of the 6th Principal Meridian, Wayne County, Nebraska.
OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT AND HEARING. The public may submit written comments and may also request a public hearing on the permitting decision. A request for a hearing must be made in writing and state the issues proposed for discussion and their relation to the proposed permit renewal. Public comments and hearing requests shall be made to: Daniel LeMaistre, Waste Permit Section Supervisor, Nebraska Department of Environment & Energy, P.O. Box 98922, Lincoln, NE 68509-8922.
The NDEE will make a final decision to renew or deny the permit based on the permit application, the compliance status of Recycling and Trash Center of Wayne, Nebraska, and public comment received. NDEE will notify the applicant and other interested persons.
COMMENT PERIOD. All comments or requests for a hearing must be postmarked by October 15, 2022.

Select “Search” and all of the documents for that facility will appear. Use the “Index of Correspondence” to select the documents related to this public notice.
