NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE
The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) proposes to reissue, with change, the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit for Louis Dreyfus Company, 201 Oxnard Drive, Port Wentworth, GA, d/b/a Elkhorn Valley Ethanol, LLC, 3002 N. Victory Rd., Norfolk, NE (NPDES# NE0137758 SIC 2869). This facility is a manufacturer of fuel grade ethanol. Non-process wastewater discharges through Outfall 001 to Spring Creek, aka Spring Branch, Segment EL3-10100 in the Elkhorn River Basin. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet, and other public information are available for review at NDEE’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays. A determination to hold a hearing will be based upon factual environmental or regulatory consideration.
