| Applicability: |
eCFR Subpart KK  [ecfr.gov]
This subpart applies to:
- Affected facilities at lead-acid battery manufacturing plants that can produce at least 6.5 tons of lead in a 24-hour period (i.e., enough batteries to produce at least 6.5 tons of lead), and that commence construction or modification after Jan 14, 1980.
Affected facilities:
- Grid casting facilities;
- Paste mixing facilities;
- Three-process operation facilities;
- Lead oxide manufacturing facilities;
- Lead reclamation facilities;
- Other lead-emitting operations.
