February 2024 Monthly Metrics

NDEE produces a monthly metrics report to measure what the agency has accomplished; to set annual and longer-term goals; and to examine these goals against accomplishments to ensure continuous process improvements.

Accomplishments
  • NDEE announced Feb. 6 the award of $6,697,474 in grants to support 132 projects across the state that promote waste and litter reduction and recycling. These grants are provided through NDEE's Waste Reduction and Recycling Incentive Grants program and the Litter Reduction and Recycling Grants program. The two programs help fund litter and waste reduction projects, recycling programs, and pay costs for scrap tire cleanups and collections for household hazardous waste, electronic waste, and pharmaceuticals.
  • NDEE was awarded $1.779 million in Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG) from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). The EECBG funds will support local communities in implementing high-impact, self-sustaining clean energy projects through a competitive subaward grant process. Applications will be open to cities and counties who weren't eligible for a federal EECBG allocation. NDEE plans to announce the application period in mid-March.
