Inspection Exit Summary – Sample Copy
This information is provided by the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy to assist the public and regulated community.
Form #: EAD012 Other Revised: 11/10/21

NDEE is implementing a new procedure at the conclusion of inspections. In order to communicate inspection findings more effectively, an Inspection Exit Summary form is now filled out by NDEE inspectors at the end of inspections. A sample copy of the summary is provided below, for reference.

It has been and will continue to be a common procedure for NDEE staff to discuss their findings with facility representatives at the conclusion of inspections. This additional step of providing a written inspection exit summary is intended to provide a record of the main topics of the discussion. The form is intended to ensure that there is a common understanding of the results of an inspection, and to provide facilities with the earliest indication of the compliance status of their facility.

In some cases, additional review is needed before a compliance determination is made. When that occurs, it will be noted on the form.

The form is not a legal document, and it is not a citation. It is intended to more clearly and efficiently communicate inspection findings. Inspections are subject to further supervisory and file review.

Comments regarding the form and the related procedures are welcome. Comments can be sent to NDEE.moreinfo@nebraska.gov
