November 1, 2021 – The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy sent the annual Drinking Water Needs Survey to every public water system to help the Department develop a list of eligible projects for community public water systems and prioritizes these needs. The information on the Needs Survey is also used to implement the Department’s capacity development strategy for existing water systems, in effect since August 6, 2000. The needs surveys filled out in 2021 will be used to develop the 2023 Intended Use Plan.
Filling out this survey in no way commits a community to undertaking a drinking water project or signing a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan.
NDEE is requesting that communities fill out the form and send it to the address listed below, postmarked by January 15, 2022. Forms can be mailed to:
