The Industrial Storm Water Guidance document provides an overview of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Industrial Storm Water permitting program. It describes what types of discharges are covered by the Industrial Storm Water General Permit and what is required of facilities that obtain coverage. The guidance also includes general information regarding what pollutants may be associated with storm water discharging from industrial facilities and describes practices that can be utilized to minimize discharges. This guidance is intended to assist industrial facilities and the public by providing background information about industrial storm water.
