The Nebraska Grid Resiliency Grant Program application period is open through June 21, 2024. This program is funded through the U.S. Department of Energy’s Preventing Outages and Enhancing the Resilience of the Electric Grid grant.
The Nebraska Grid Resiliency Grant Program is designed to support projects that prevent energy disruptions, enhance grid resiliency, and promote a clean and equitable energy economy.
Eligible applicants are electric grid operators, electricity storage operations, electricity generators, transmission owners and operators, electric distribution providers, fuel suppliers, and energy operators.
Eligible projects include hardening of power lines, facilities, substations, and other systems; weatherization technologies and equipment; monitoring and control technologies; and vegetation and fuel-load management. Projects should provide communitywide benefits and may get special consideration if they provide local employment opportunities and workforce training. Priority may be given to projects in communities identified as having a high energy or environmental burden. This program will provide funding for communities based on their individual needs.
Applicants must include complete application package as instructed.
Informational documents regarding the Davis Bacon Act, the Build America Buy America Act, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review, historic preservation, and ACH enrollment are also available on top of this page.
