The Online Air General Construction Permit Webinar will cover the basics of what units are potentially covered under the General Construction Permits and how to apply, with a walkthrough of a test application from start to finish. This is intended for individuals who are not familiar with air regulations.
About the presenter:
Dylan Webbert is an engineer for the Air Construction Permitting Section of the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE). Webbert holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
Webbert has worked in the Construction Permit Section since his graduation in 2018.

About the webinar:
The Permitting Tools and Resources webinar will help the regulated community navigate information on permit requirements, understand common pitfalls and recommend recordkeeping practices that support compliance goals. The webinar will be useful both to individuals new to NDEE permitting, as well as a good refresher for those already in the industry.
About the presenter:
Fowler-Hagen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with emphasis in Chemistry and a Masters of Community and Regional Planning from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Fowler-Hagen has worked locally and across the U.S. providing consulting services, third party audits and training under various regulations and she has been an Environmental Health and Safety manager in chemical manufacturing.
Currently, Fowler-Hagen works across NDEE’s programs to support local communities, new business and industry with voluntary Compliance Assistance Visits. Belinda joined NDEE in 2018.

The Enhancement of Nebraska’s Voluntary Cleanup Program webinar will provide an overview of the program and include case studies that showcase how the VCP has benefited Nebraska, A comparison of other state programs and their liability relief options will also be discussed. Participants are highly encouraged to share their thoughts on the State of Nebraska incorporating some of these options into the VCP.
About the presenter:
Taryn Serwatowski is a Michigan native who graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Geology from Central Michigan University in 2009. She moved to Nebraska in 2010 to attend graduate studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she received a teaching assistant scholarship to study Earth and Atmospheric Science. She is an active member of the Nebraska Geological Society and has served as the Region 7 Brownfields Focus Group representative for the Association of State and Territorial Solid Waste Management Officials.
Taryn has been the Brownfields Coordinator for NDEE since November 2015.

Work experience includes: Owner/Principal Scientist, water quality contracting & consulting company (1998-2010); Aquatic Invertebrate Taxonomist, USGS National Water Quality Laboratory, Arvada, CO (1995-1998).
