Petroleum Remediation "Pay for Performance" Program

The Petroleum Remediation Section’s “Pay for Performance” Program has proven to be an effective method of ensuring petroleum contaminated sites are cleaned up quickly and at a reasonable cost.

Under this process, contractors are invited to submit bids to clean up specific petroleum-contaminated sites (traditionally, those sites where the person or business that caused the contamination either cannot be identified or does not have the resources to pay for their share of cleanup costs.)
